LEASHES

Animation. Dogs. Two things I’ve always loved. Both came together in a side project I did with Nickelodeon called “LEASHES.”

For years I’d had an idea about a dog who has an existential crisis. I made a pitch short, working nights and weekends using paper, pencil, and Photoshop.

My buddy Mike Kaufman believed in it, so he showed it to Nick. They bought it.

Kaufman and I refined the story, co-wrote, co-directed, and partnered with Tinman Studios to produce the final short. A lot of my original designs ended up in the final piece. Huzzah!
