“Are your Photoshop skills good enough to solve a murder?” That’s the challenge we threw to Photoshop's Facebook community on Halloween. We presented them with a Clue-like murder mystery in the form of a heavily layered Photoshop file. This case study tells the story, and yes, that is yours truly chain-smoking in the fake stache.
We posted this on Facebook a few days before we launched the game, whetting our community's appetite.

On day two of the campaign, we released the suspects' police files. Fans were also able to interrogate the suspects, through Facebook comments, in real time.
With all the clues released our Photoshop community made their cases in the form of one-of-a-kind Photoshop works of art. This is a collage of some of our favorites.
A handful of diligent, and talented, Photoshop artists solved the crime. We celebrated them in a final post, and our fans asked for another mystery next year.
THE CHALLENGE: While the MINI Countryman boasts more cargo space than Audi and Mercedes competitors, it’s still perceived as a small car.
INSIGHT: All cargo commercials look the same—packing in camping gear to go on a woodland adventure. We wanted our spot to stand out.
IDEA: Created in a Countryman. We partnered with artists to create short films shot entirely in a Countryman. Our artists? Animator Kirsten Lepore of “Hi Stranger” fame and diorama duo Nix + Gerber.

Kirsten's aquatic adventure was designed using 20 sheets of high-grade paper reinforced with everything from toothpicks and skewers to large wooden dowels, while an overlay of plexiglass gave the ocean a shimmering quality throughout the 672 hand-placed frames required to create the film.
Dreaming of star-gazing? Artists Nix + Gerber show that the MINI Countryman is big enough to pack in any adventure. Nix + Gerber's campsite dioramas were shaped using various types of foam, wire, flock, dirt and rocks, while characters like the miniature astronauts were sculpted with a bake-able polymer clay that took three full days to set and dry.
The sets and the MINIs that housed them were exhibited at the Brooklyn Academy of Music and LA’s Other Art Fair. Both places were chosen so that their distinct creative communities could share images the impressive sets (and the Countryman itself) to their social networks.
The task:
Bose—famous for high-end speakers and headphones—came to us to launch their most compact and rugged speaker yet, the Bose Micro.
The insight:
For our 18 to 25-year-old audience, we wanted to position the Micro as the ace up your sleeve that you should always carry with you.
The idea:
Wherever you Bring the Micro, you become the hero.
These are the broadcast spots at the center of the 360-degree campaign.
Bose wanted us to create a social series that would not only highlight their products' attributes—SoundSport headphones as the perfect workout companion, QC35s' noise cancellation—but bring the players' personalities to the fans. Our solution was a GIF series that the client could easily remix over and over.
JJ's SoundSport Playlist is a clever way to promote the product name, while also commenting on what games JJ and the Texans have coming up. For example, if JJ's about to play the San Francisco 49ers, he puts on "Sit-ups on the dock of the bay."
Is it Christmas time? Then JJ puts on "The Nutcracker."
Going to play the Giants in the Empire State? Then it's time to Topple the Empire

John Urschel is not only an NFL player. He's also a PhD student at M.I.T. So when it comes to explaining the intricacies of Bose's products (and football), he's your candidate.
Adobe Lightroom is the photographer's post-production tool of choice. Adobe came to Edelman Digital to launch Lightroom's tablet version, allowing photographers to embrace the "lean back workflow," and edit their photos anywhere. Our big idea? "Shoes off, Lightroom mobile on." We brought this idea to life with a social campaign, socks that we straight up made, and a slick influencer package.
Here's the announcement piece, introducing Lightroom mobile and the "lean back" workflow to photographers. I shot the photo, and Chris Swanson, the Art Director on the project, lent his dramatic foot modeling skills.
Our team worked on dozens of sock designs, wanting something graphically simple that photographers would get. We landed on a single row of apertures leading from the sock’s toe to top, dilating as they ascend. The socks are unmistakably Lightroom, colored a deep blue and signature Lightroom light blue.
We left no creative space left unturned. The socks' packaging features a dial-design, reminiscent of the photo-settings dial on a camera. Pop on your socks and choose your location, from couch to plane to coffee shop.
Our amazing account team targeted about 50 photography influencers to not only receive a free year of Lightroom and the socks, but an entire package filled with goodies to increase "one's propensity for lean backedness."

And what's on the back of the card.
The kits were designed from scratched and included a free year of Adobe Creative Cloud “for your iPad,” a Lightroom pillow “for your head/butt/back,” almonds "for your mouth," and the socks “for your feet.”
